Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival: A Week Full of Events
The Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival kicks off on February 20 with the Lowcountry Experiences on the Water, an event designed to teach the skills of shrimping, oystering, clamming, crabbing, and more. This hands-on event is a great opportunity to see what it takes to put fresh seafood on the table.
On February 22, a pop-up dinner celebrating New Mexican culture and cuisine is hosted by renowned chefs Fernando Olea and Tim Nelson to showcase both traditional and contemporary takes on Mexican cuisine. This four-course dinner is a great way to get an authentic taste of the Southwest from award-winning chefs.
Next, February 23 brings the Zero Forks Given event. The Zero Forks Given event highlights delicious seafood dishes from around the world made by celebrity chefs. Each course is paired with an impeccable wine, elevating this incredible experience even more.
If you’re interested in food education, attend one of the master classes on February 24. These classes include demonstrations of different cooking techniques by expert chefs. This year’s master classes include demonstrations on shrimp etouffee, New Mexican mole, and barbecue. Learn from the best and use your new skills to impress friends and family. February 25 is the big day, when the 16th annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival brings thousands together to celebrate the joy of seafood.
