4 of the Best Jet Ski Rental Outfitters in Hilton Head
Before you rent or operate a jet ski here are a few important facts to know! To operate a jet ski in the state of South Carolina you must be at least 16 years or older with a valid driver’s license and parental or a legal guardian’s consent. A driving permit is not valid and outfitters will require proof of a driver’s license.
If you want to bring your child along they should be over 30 pounds to ride with you, but most jet skis can only hold up to 400 lbs. Make sure to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment, and be prepared to be given a quick course on how to operate one (even if you have operated/owned jet skis or wave runners in the past).
Rentals are by the hour and are generally $120 per hour depending on circumstances. You will have to make a reservation and don’t hesitate to book one well in advance as they can book up rather quickly depending on the season.
